Does your Windows Vista run slow??

Published on January 31, 2008 by in Blog

If you have bowed to the propaganda or have been forced down the Vista route due to new hardware(PC or laptop) you will probably find that it runs dog slow!

M$ have released a new help sheet on How-To Speed up your Vista OS
M$ Clicky

This is a section of the article focusing on visual effects…..for those of you that remember the advertising hype of Vista, it revolved around the new Aero visual platform……..”Look how shiny Vista is” – it now turns out your best bet is to turn it off!!! PMSL

“Turn off visual effects

If Windows is running slowly, you can speed it up by disabling some of its visual effects. It comes down to appearance versus performance. Would you rather have Windows run faster or look prettier? If your PC is fast enough, you don’t have to make this tradeoff, but if your computer is just barely powerful enough for Windows Vista, it can be useful to scale back on the visual bells and whistles.”

  1. I am using Vista and I don’t “overwork” the system… I have a separate computer running in XP to do all the dirty work
